Tech Update / / Okii Systems USB Focus Controller
One of the latest editions to our stock inventory and a piece of kit that we really are enjoying is the Okii Systems USB Focus Controller.
The Okii Systems USB Focus Controller is a battery powered handheld USB host device designed to control certain Canon EOS Digital SLR camera that use Canon’s USB protocol.

Exhibition / / Forwards, Backwards and Forwards Again
Forwards, Backwards and Forwards Again is the upcoming exhibition curated by a friend of RGB, photographer and videographer Tim Bowditch.
The exhibition will mark the third and final stage of the ‘Firedive’ project. Last year saw a special outdoor screening of the film about La Vallette pools, at Guernsey Swimming Club’s 125th Anniversary Floodlit Gala. We had fashion photographer Remy Whiting in the RGB studio who shot a look book of party wear for the label Tu at Sainsbury’s.
Remy sent us this rather nice behind the scenes video of the shoot constructed by Spicer and Moore that highlights a great use of our studio in addition to our digital operator and equipment rental services.

Tech Update // Remote Focus for those tricky shots!
RGB have now added the Hocus Focus to our rentals! The Hocus Focus is a completely wireless remote follow focus system. It allows the user to precisely operate the focus ring on a 35 mm SLR/DSLR or boardcast lens from up to 200 meters away. Very handy for steadicam work and those difficult traveling shots or car rigs!
Tech Update // The fastest computer in town!
RGB are excited about our new improved tower that is now sporting the world’s fastest SSD hard drive! The SSD drive has no moving parts and is less susceptible to physical shock, however we know that you will be impressed by its speed (we certainly are!). Motion Update // Hustle Series 7
Filming has begun on the seventh series of Hustle for BBC 1 and RGB Photographic are excited to supporting it. Our kit has been used for some of the more tricky car shots and capturing the action! We can’t wait to see it on our screens in the coming months.
RGB appear in HD Magazine
RGB features in a recent article in High Definition, the HD specialist magazine. It focuses on the recent work by cinematographer Tim Palmer on ‘The Road to Coronation Street’. It gives a first hand account from the DOP on using the Canon 5D Mark II for the BBC.
